For more than 25 years, Doug Lipstone has been representing clients in the formation, acquisition and protection of trademarks and copyrights in the United States and throughout the world, as well as in the negotiation, documentation and enforcement of licensing, manufacturing and distribution agreements for local, regional and worldwide markets.

 

A major focus of Doug’s practice has been the fashion industry. Doug works with both start-ups and larger nationally known brands and companies, including manufacturers of clothing, footwear, headwear, jewelry, handbags, luggage, cosmetics, and other fashion accessories, as well as local, regional, national and international retailers. Doug also represents manufacturers and retailers of consumer electronics and professional DJ equipment, automotive products and protective gear for professional MMA fighters.

 

In addition, Doug has been integral in the efforts of the California fashion industry to block the passage of the Design Piracy Prohibition Act (S. 1957 and H.R. 2033) since its introduction in 2007, as well as all subsequent related legislation, including the Innovative Design Protection and Piracy Prevention Act (S. 3728 and H.R. 2511), first introduced in 2010.
